Welcome to Chronicle House – student studio apartments in the heart of Chester city centre.
Located within the city walls, students at Chronicle House have the city’s picturesque cathedral and famous shopping Rows on their doorstep. The University of Chester is just a 20 minute walk from the building, or just 7 minutes for those who enjoy to bike (did we mention Chronicle House has bike storage?).
Chronicle House is home to 61 students each year, offering a range of studios including our budget-friendly Single Bed Studios, to our spacious deluxe apartments. Perfect for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

We offer a range of studio types at Chronicle House – ideal for all budgets!
For those looking for a more affordable room type, our standard studios are ideal and include either a single or double bed, kitchen, ensuite shower room, study area and 34″ TV.
Our PLUS room types offer additional room facilities including a larger 43″ smart TV, 2-person table and chairs*, full length mirror, study lamp, kettle and toaster, and additional storage.
We offer dual occupancies in the majority of our room types – FREE OF CHARGE!
*some of our smaller PLUS studios do not have room for 2-person table and chairs. Please check with the accommodation team before booking.

Living at Chronicle House, not only do you get your own personal space to live in; but you can also take advantage of some great social spaces within the building too. Chronicle House boasts a communal social space to meet up with friends & a gym.

We love hosting parties, movie and game nights or even putting on a more bespoke event, but we need your help! If you have an idea you’d like to put forward for your next building social, email us at chester@xeniastudents.com and let us know. Don’t be shy, whether you want to meet new people, learn a new skill or simply chill with your mates – we want to hear about it!
Fancy a little pick-me-up on us? We offer free tea and coffee on selected days/times from our dedicated coffee station which can be found in our reception. Speak to your Accommodation Manager to find out more and grab yours today!
What Else is Included?
To make things simpler, all bills are included in the rental price so there’s no need to worry about having to pay bills each month.
This includes free WiFi, water, electricity and even content insurance.
The building also has an onsite Accommodation Team who are on-hand if you have any questions about your stay.
For peace-of-mind, Chronicle House also has 24/7 CCTV and out-of-hours service.

Chronicle House doesn’t have any on-site parking, however there are plenty of options in the area for you to choose from. Below are details of 3 options that are just a few minutes’ walk away!
