How easy is it to get around Liverpool?

As with most of the UK’s major cities, the nightlife in Liverpool isn’t limited to the weekend! There is plenty going on throughout the week. If you want to go on a night out without splashing the cash, making the most of weekday deals is definitely the best option.
Weekdays:
Firstly, on a Monday the place to visit is Brooklyn Mixer, which plays non-stop R&B, hip hop, grime and house music across three floors. You will be able to drink to your hearts content with £3 vodka and mixers, £1 selected bottles and £1 selected shots. You will also get free entry if you get yourself on the guest list!
Tuesday, The Shipping Forecast is a student favourite with its Juicy event. The music is mostly R&B and Hip Hop, and you can be sure to grab excellent drink deals. If that isn’t your thing, you could head down to Popworld for 2-4-1 cocktails and free entry before 22:30.
Heading out on a Wednesday night? Level is a popular option for students, with three floors and six rooms offering something for everybody’s tastes. There is also plenty to shout about when it comes to drinks too, with £2.50 double vodka and mixers all night long.
Quids In is a student favourite across the UK and comes to Heebie Jeebies on a Thursday. You will be able to get £1 drinks all night, and as the name suggests – entry is also £1! With three rooms, you will be able to choose from Deep House, Hip Hop and Indie depending on your preference.
Weekend:
At the weekend, the drink deals aren’t quite as good, but the partying continues – Concert Square is one of the liveliest spots in the city, and houses some of the cities largest bars.

Stanley Quarter is regarded as the LGBT home of Liverpool, with a range of bars, clubs, and pubs. The quarter is also one of the main sites where Liverpool Pride is held annually.

Where are the best places to shop in Liverpool?

Students are spoilt for choice with the shopping options in Liverpool. With a choice of modern shopping centres, boutique arcades, narrow streets and markets across the city.
The main shopping centre in the city is Liverpool ONE which boasts over 170 shops, bars, and restaurants – and it is located in the heart of the city centre. You will find all of your high street favourites here, such as Topshop, Zara, Hollister, and Flannels.

Matthew Street is just north of Liverpool ONE, there you can find the Beatles shop as well as the Boutique Cavern Walks Shopping Centre. The boutique stores are great for unique clothing that you wouldn’t find in your usual high street shops.
The surrounding Metquarter is the place in Liverpool to find high-end fashion and beauty outlets, from brands such as Hugo Boss and Armani Exchange.
The other ultra-fashionable shopping district in Liverpool is the Cavern Quarter, which is home to Vivienne Westwood. So if you’re a student with loose purse strings, this could be the place to visit.

There is also an abundance of shopping options outside of the City Centre, with Lark Lane having a selection of boutique shops and Lord Street in Southport housing a host of shops in Victorian arcades.
