Welcome to Central House – student studio accommodation in the heart of Glasgow.

Located on Jamaica Street, students at Central House have the city centre on their door-step.

Both Caledonian University and the University of Strathclyde are less than 15-minutes walk from the building, and with both Glasgow Central Train Station and St Enoch Subway around the corner, students can easily travel to the West End and the University of Glasgow.

Central House is home to 66 students each year, offering a range of studios including our budget-friendly Single Bed Studios from just £119 per week, to our spacious deluxe apartments.

Students at Central House also have flexibility on the length of their stay.

For those looking for a more affordable room type, our standard studios are ideal and include either a single or double bed, kitchen, ensuire shower room and study area.

Refurbished in 2018, our PLUS rooms offer a higher standard of room facilities.

We offer dual occupancies in the majority of our room types – FREE OF CHARGE!

Social Areas.

Students at Central House get their own personal space to live in, whilst also having access to some great social areas in the building, suitable for both postgraduate and undergraduate students.

Students will have access to the building’s multiple common spaces and outdoor terrace.

The building also has a monthly social budget – so students can enjoy free pizza, films and games evenings all in the comfort of their own home!

What Else is Included?

To make things simpler, all bills are included in the rental price so there’s no need to worry about having to pay bills each month.

This includes Free WiFi, water, electricity and even content insurance.

The building also has an onsite Accommodation Team who are on-hand if you have any questions about your stay.

For peace-of-mind, Central House also has 24/7 CCTV and out-of-hours service.

Ryan Nott – Accommodation Manager

My name is Ryan and I joined Xenia Students in 2022. The most rewarding part about being an Accommodation Manager is being part of creating a ‘home from home’ environment for our tenants. I have previous work experience in managing student accommodation which I have done for the last six years, that has helped in my current role.

 

My happy place is in my local cemetery as I’ve recently started a new hobby where I restore old/damaged gravestones.

My name is Shannon and I joined xenia students in January 2022 the most rewarding part about being a Lettings Assistant is helping all of the students with a nice comfortable place to stay and any other assistance they need and getting to know them all, I have previous work experience in the hotel business for 7 years with various of different roles that has helped with my role.
